The Magic of Greek Olive Oil: What Makes Ours Different?

Welcome (back) to Soultana’s blog — it’s been a while, but what better way to return than by celebrating what started it all: our olive oil.

At Soultana’s Greek Olive Oil, we believe in simple, honest ingredients that carry centuries of tradition. And when it comes to olive oil, Kalamata, Greece, is where that tradition thrives.

Our extra virgin olive oil is sourced from the sun-soaked Messinia region in southern Greece, one of the world’s most celebrated areas for premium olive oil production. Made exclusively from Koroneiki olives, this golden-green oil is cold-pressed to preserve its deep flavor and powerful nutritional properties.

So, what makes our oil different?

🫒 Single-Origin – Messinia, Greece: Our oil isn’t blended or diluted. It’s 100% from the hills of Kalamata — a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) region known for its quality and history.

🫒 Koroneiki Olives: Often called the “queen of olives,” Koroneiki fruit is small but mighty — producing oil that’s aromatic, peppery, and rich in antioxidants.

🫒 Cold-Pressed Perfection: Pressed at low temperatures to protect nutrients and flavor, our oil retains its natural polyphenols, color, and vibrancy.

🫒 Versatile & Vibrant: Whether drizzled over grilled vegetables, whisked into dressings, or used to finish a warm lentil dish — the flavor speaks for itself.

We’re excited to return to the Wilmington Greek Festival this June 2–7 with a selection of products that honor the Greek kitchen:

  • Our signature extra virgin olive oil

  • Aegean Sea salt and bold infused blends

  • Herbal teas packed in gift-ready sets

  • Balsamic vinegar with a sweet, earthy touch

And tucked among it all? A very special surprise — something close to our hearts that we’ll be sharing for the first time at the festival.

Come explore, shop, and connect with us. We’re bringing Greece to Wilmington — one bottle at a time.
